Today's status looks wrong or out of date
Pull down on the main screen to force a refresh, and confirm your device has an internet connection. RDCO typically publishes each day's reading once, around 8am Pacific — outside that window "Data Unavailable" is expected, not a bug.
The 8:15am notification isn't arriving
- Open the app's Settings (gear icon) and make sure Notify When Burning Is Permitted is turned on.
- Check iOS Settings → Notifications → Burn Day, and make sure notifications are allowed.
- The notification only fires on days burning is actually permitted — no news is expected on a "not permitted" or off-season day.
- Outside burn season (Oct 1 – Apr 30), there's nothing to notify about.
Season History isn't showing my calendar in the Calendar app
- In Settings, make sure Sync to "Burn Day" Calendar is turned on, then tap Sync Now.
- If you're asked for Calendar access and declined it, re-enable it in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars → Burn Day.
- Look for a calendar named "Burn Day" in the Calendar app's calendar list — it may be unchecked/hidden there even once it exists.
"Request Burn Permit" took me to Settings instead of opening an email
This is expected the first time — the button needs your name, address, phone, and email on file to build a complete request. Fill those in under Settings → Burn Permit Request, then tap the button again and it will open Mail directly.
